Don't Miss "Buyer and Cellar"

We were fortunate enough to see the very funny “Buyer and Cellar” starring the incredibly charming Jai Rodriguez at the Falcon Theatre in Toluca Lake recently. If you’re looking for an escape from the drama of the presidential election, slip into this fictional story of an out of work actor taking a job in the hard-to-believe-it’s-true world of Barbara Streisand’s personal basement shopping mall. You may only know Jai as the “Culture Vulture” from “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.” But he’s a really talented actor and he carries the whole show on his shoulders — playing multiple characters with a mind-boggling ease. There’s even a moment where he switches off between two people having a conversation — one has tears in their eyes and the other doesn’t. We’re still not sure how he pulled it off.
