Each box will be filled with products created by female artisans and
women-owned businesses. From fiber art and jewelry to tea and books,
every item will be hand selected by us at The Passionistas Project.
Many will be sourced from women we interview on our podcast and
all will be included with the goal of inspiring you to follow your passions.
Passionistas Promise
The theme of our inaugural box is Passionistas Promise.
We want to make a promise to you that we will always offer the
highest quality products and they will always come from the hearts,
hands and minds of female entrepreneurs. And as we move
into not only a new year but a new decade, we want you to
make a promise to always follow your passions.
FEATURED PASSIONISTA
Sashee Chandran left a successful career as a marketing executive at eBay to follow her passion for tea, launching Tea Drops in 2015. She devised a method to create organic, finely ground, loose leaf tea compressed into whimsical shapes and convenient sprinkles. When dropped into hot water, the bagless tea dissolves, transforming into the perfect cup every time. The company has been named Most Innovative Beverage by the Specialty Food Association, was featured in Oprah Magazine and is loved by prominent figures like Tory Burch and Michelle Obama.
A portion of the proceeds from the sales of each Passionistas Project Pack will be donated to a charity selected by one of our Passionistas.
This quarter, Sashee Chandran of Tea Drops has selected Thirst Project.
“THIRST PROJECT is a non-profit organization focused on ending the global water crisis through youth education projects and water well projects all over the world, with specific concentration in Swaziland. I’ve always wanted Tea Drops to provide a larger vehicle to aid in social efforts. Our decision to address the global water crisis felt natural, as water is not only critical for sanitation and education but
without it you can’t even enjoy life’s simple pleasures, like a cup of tea. Our partnership with Thirst Project immediately
felt right. In 2016, we embarked on the #NoWaterNoTea campaign, which is still alive and well. With every online purchase
of Tea Drops, our partnership allows us to donate a year’s supply of clean water to someone in need. A win-win!”
